Abstract
Annotation. In this study, anthropologist Womack (UCLA) examines the representation of athletes in art, literature, and music. Illustrated throughout with b&w artistic reproductions, the text considers imagery relating to the hunt, team sports, war games, racing, and contests of grace and beauty (such as gymnastics and figure skating).
